Well 28 degrees today. Summer is here. How long will it last? Sunbathed and had a swim yesterday and have put the summer duvet on the bunk after burning my feet on the deck so decided warm enough. We have had to put up the boom tent sunshade we had made and are positively hiding from the sun.
I noticed a large tent going up at the end of the pontoon so enquired of the workman what it was for. I got the french for I dont know missus I just put em up. Any way it turned out to be a regatta. It was quite large and very Sovereign harbour in that some has high performance sails and some didn't. Some had cruising chutes and some didn't. Also they set off in a complete calm and wobbled around for quite a while. Their course was round an island and of course it was round he island in England this week. So last night winners were announced and fodd and dancing happened long in to the night. They were all up early for another race this morning. Wonder if they had Sovereign Harbour morning after a good night heads.

L'Herbaudiere is quite an interesting place. There is a Beneteau factory here which makes huge motor boats for the American market.( Lots cling wrapped on the quay.We actually walked all round the factory and viewed boats and nobody seemed to mind.), sitting alongside a small holiday village and a fishing port. It does seem quite strange.
We also walked to the point this morning and found some world war two block houses and gun emplacements but too hot to explore. As St. Nazaire is just across the bay I should think it was a very significant out post.
